These terms govern your use of the PIOS Board and are an agreement between you and the owners and operators of PIOS ("PIOS," "we," or "us"). PIOS helps you organize your work and access services through accounts you choose to use. By selecting Agree & Continue, you accept these terms in exchange for access to the Board. If you do not agree, do not continue setup.
Permission to use PIOS
Subject to these terms and your authorized access, PIOS grants you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable permission to use the Board and its services for your own personal or internal business purposes. A subscription or other access fee pays for authorized use; it does not transfer ownership of PIOS, provide source-code rights, or authorize resale, sublicensing, or distribution. You may use PIOS on your own devices and screens as the service allows. Separate purchase terms govern any price, billing, cancellation, delivery, or refund commitments; this agreement does not change those commitments or authorize a new charge.
Ownership and third-party rights
As between you and PIOS, PIOS and its licensors retain the rights they hold in the software, original text and artwork, branding, documentation, and nonpublic technology provided through the service. Rights not expressly granted are reserved. Do not remove or alter copyright, trademark, or other ownership notices, or use PIOS branding in a way that suggests an unauthorized affiliation or endorsement. These terms do not claim ownership of unprotectable ideas, facts, or methods, or of third-party materials. Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their applicable licenses; these terms do not restrict rights those licenses grant.
Copying, resale, and misuse
Except as expressly authorized in writing by PIOS, permitted by an applicable third-party license, or allowed by law notwithstanding a contractual restriction, you must not copy, modify, translate, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works of PIOS software, documentation, or other protected materials beyond copies necessarily made for authorized use and copies of this agreement. You must not decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer PIOS software, or otherwise attempt to derive its source code or nonpublic underlying implementation, except to the extent applicable law permits such activity notwithstanding this restriction.
Do not bypass authentication, membership restrictions, or other access controls; share access to resell the service; access another member’s information without authorization; introduce malicious code; or interfere with the service. Do not use unauthorized automated extraction to copy protected PIOS materials or obtain other members’ data. These restrictions do not prevent ordinary use of authorized PIOS integrations, access to or export of your own content, lawful independent development, or activity that cannot lawfully be restricted.
Your content and confidential access
You retain the rights you hold in your content. You permit PIOS to process and display that content only as needed to provide the service and carry out actions you authorize. Adding a link does not transfer ownership of the linked file. If PIOS expressly gives you access to nonpublic source code, credentials, technical documentation, or other information identified as confidential or reasonably understood to be confidential, use it only for the authorized purpose, safeguard it, and do not disclose it without permission. This duty does not cover information lawfully public, already lawfully known to you without a duty of confidence, independently developed without using the confidential information, or lawfully received from another source without such a duty. Legally required disclosures and protected reports to authorities remain permitted.
Your accounts and permissions
You choose whether to connect your ChatGPT, Google, or other third-party accounts to PIOS, ChatGPT, or one another. Only connect accounts and content you own or are authorized to use. Each provider’s terms and privacy policies apply to its services. Accepting these terms does not grant account access or authorize messages, changes, purchases, or other actions. Those permissions require separate authorization through the relevant service. The Board’s optional Google Calendar display is read-only. Its Email shortcut opens Gmail. File cabinets organize links to files held elsewhere.
Connection risks
Connecting services or opening external links can disclose information to other providers. Depending on the permissions you grant, connected services may access, process, retain, or share your information. Connections can introduce errors, unintended disclosures, security incidents, data loss, unavailable features, and service interruptions. Providers may change or discontinue their services. Review permissions, sharing settings, and provider policies before connecting, and disconnect services you no longer want to use. You voluntarily assume the risks of the connections you choose, subject to the protections preserved below.
Review before relying or acting
AI output and information displayed through connected services may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Verify important information against its source. Review instructions, recipients, attachments, requested permissions, and proposed actions before approving them. You remain responsible for decisions and actions you knowingly authorize.
Security and your content
Take reasonable steps to protect your devices, account credentials, and access permissions. Use the provider’s authorized sign-in process and do not give PIOS your account passwords. Maintain independent copies of important information; a saved link is not a backup. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for content you provide and uses you authorize. These responsibilities do not excuse PIOS from duties imposed by applicable law.
Service disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PIOS is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free information, secure connections, or the availability or conduct of third-party services.
Limited release and hold harmless
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and agree to hold PIOS harmless from your claims for losses arising from the optional connections described above, including unintended data disclosure, data loss, inaccurate or delayed information, service interruptions, and actions performed under permissions or instructions you provide. This release includes those losses caused by PIOS’s ordinary negligence in designing, configuring, maintaining, or operating connection-related features.
This release and the disclaimers do not apply to PIOS’s gross negligence, fraud, reckless or willful misconduct, or any liability, warranty, remedy, or consumer right that applicable law does not permit to be excluded or limited. They do not authorize access beyond the permissions you separately grant. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Access restrictions and surviving obligations
PIOS may restrict or suspend access reasonably necessary to address a material breach of these terms, unauthorized access, or a security threat, subject to applicable law and any separate purchase commitments. When your authorized access ends, your permission to use PIOS ends. Ending access does not transfer your content to PIOS or erase the agreement you accepted. Ownership, applicable confidentiality duties, restrictions on unauthorized copying or disclosure, and provisions concerning earlier conduct continue to the extent their nature requires and law permits. PIOS may pursue remedies available under applicable law; these terms do not guarantee any particular remedy or eliminate your nonwaivable rights.
Your agreement record and future changes
By selecting the agreement checkbox and then Agree & Continue while signed in, you intend to accept these terms electronically for that account. PIOS retains the signed-in account identifier, available account name and email, the acceptance date and time, and the exact version and text accepted. You can view and download your retained agreements through Terms of Use in Settings. Routine software updates do not require a new agreement. Material changes to these terms require a separate notice and affirmative acceptance before they govern your future use; a new version does not rewrite your earlier acceptance record. Merely viewing this document, signing in, or connecting another service is not acceptance.
